Happy Winter Solstice 冬至咯!

家里有好久一段时间都没在冬至这一天搓汤圆,吃汤圆了。
今年,刚好老妈和老弟都在我家,适逢这大日子。我就买了一些材料。胆粗粗,弄了起来。
还好啦~~ 虽然只是简单原味的汤圆。可是吃的心情是很好的,很有一种苦尽甘来的感觉。呵呵~



放了椰糖,班兰叶,和老姜。就这么简单。


好看吧?^^




虽然汤圆是软了些,可是我喜欢!第一次的成绩,算很好了啦!^^

荞头炒豆干

很久很久没吃荞头这样菜了。会吃这道菜也是因为很久很久以前,妈妈有弄过这道菜。听说十多年前,这样菜还挺hot的。都是年尾,年头才有的卖。相当的珍贵。当时多是用肉来炒。最好是用肥肉。很香!很好吃!

这次还是我第一次自己动手弄这道菜。就照着一位安娣所教,用虾米来提鲜。味道果然不错。可是我还是觉得,有些菜还是需要肉来炒,会更加好!^^

荞头的功效:荞头性未辛苦温,具理气、宽胸、通阳、散结的功效。治胸痹心痛彻骨、脘腹痞痛不舒、泻痢后重、疮疖等

所以又被称作:菜中灵芝


今天这两条马友鱼。虽然贵了点,不过还好新鲜。我用了黑豆鼓和辣椒来提鲜。很下饭!^^

番薯汤水

橙色的番薯汤水,单看颜色,就很想吃了。可是味道却不怎么样。
最近,觉得自己,就是这样!看来是时候买多些书来充实一下了。

我们总会在不设防的时候喜欢上一些人。没什么原因,也许只是一个温和的笑容,一句关切的问候。可能未曾谋面,可能志趣并不相投,可能不在一个高度,却牢牢地放在心上了。冥冥中该来则来,无处可逃,就好像喜欢一首歌,往往就因为一个旋律或一句打动你的歌词。喜欢或者讨厌,是让人莫名其妙的事情。

甘草绿茶菊花茶

长时间上网的时后,我都会泡一壶甘草绿茶菊花茶。

绿茶-有抗氧化抗辐射的功效,清除人体内的氧自由基。茶叶中含有胡萝卜素,它在肠壁和肝脏的作用下,可以转变为维生素A。而维生素A具有滋养眼睛、缓解眼睛疲劳。
菊花-可以养目,让人头脑清醒、双目明亮!特别对肝火旺、用眼过度导致的双眼干涩有较好的疗效!经常觉得眼睛干涩的电脑族 (本人),多喝些菊花茶有利无害。(但愿如此)

Nasi Lemak + Paru


The best breakfast ever!!!
I can have it almost everyday!! hahaha~~ seriously... ^^
This is the only moment that I wouls say, I love Malaysia!! yeah!! :p
Personally, I feel beef rendang & Paru-paru go very well with Nasi Lemak!! Of course, must with the Hot Sambal!!
I'm drooling again!! goshh!!

Pontian Wantan Noodle @ SS2

It is always too hard to find a parking in SS2. Guess we have a little luck today. And the nearest place we can get to a makan place is this one here same row with Pelita SS2.

First time visiting the place.


The interior actually quite nice. Especially the tables & chairs. Kinda like given a feeling that we were back to school time. or should say kindergarden? lol... Chairs are small & colourful.


The Wantan mee... actually not bad!! I like!!.. some people were saying the mee is too little to get full, but just ngam for me.. lol..


The Wantan is quite poor, smaller size and the wantan were actually sticked together when it served. The person who cooked this, is so lazy and not dedicated enough!! :p

Okay for me, not too sweet.

兰姐蒸鱼 (蕉赖)

棋没吃过兰姐蒸鱼,陪她去试了一餐。鱼是不错。够新鲜。蒸法也还好。就是出菜的速度,慢到~~~ 可能是为了要配合蒸鱼的时间,可是就是看不到厨房的人在忙的情形。非常的悠哉!这情景可是在大部份的桌子都坐满的情况下看到的。这算是。。好事?

我们要了一条鱼。所以给了一条较大的。其实如果只有两三个人的话,又有打算要叫多几样菜的话,要一条鱼就够了。它们是有较大条的supply的。别听伙计下单的时候说的话。说什么一人一条的话。纯粹是商业手段。为了多赚而已。



咕唠肉... 这道菜在这家分行,是算不错的菜色。炸的蛮酥,味道够。


这个就真的贵到离谱!所谓的肉碎豆腐。没见到有多余肉碎,肉碎块就有一片。如图。
豆腐是炸的有点过火了。有点硬。香是有。可是就是难咬。如果没有汁的话,都不懂要怎样吃。

又一村香港茶餐厅

荷叶X.O酱炒河粉.... 午餐套餐中的新贵!锅气有!偏咸,因为XO酱的关系。好也!


鸳鸯双拼叉烧皇.... 一边是原汁叉烧,一边是撒上了花生米的原汁叉烧。味道还好。就嫌叉烧切的太厚了。吃一片,要嚼很久。嘴都酸了.. ==

Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice

My favourite Claypot Chicken Rice in KL!
Located next to the Sg. Besi & Pudu road roundabout for over 20 years now.



If to compare with others, the price here is slightly higher. But I think it is so much worth the price. :)


What makes the claypot chicken rice here special is that the rice is cooked with a soup poured into it. Usually most places will cook the rice with water but here the added taste to the rice comes from the soup. The rice is firm and not overly burnt at the bottom so you don't end up with a thick layer of crust at the bottom of the pot.


Sai lei Shun Mui.. this is the name of the this drink. A sour & sweet drinks. Goes very well with the chicken rice!

The salted fish is soaked in sesame oil before you mix it up into your rice. That gives it an extra oomph as well.


We also had a pepper pig stomach soup which was excellent as well. The smell and the taste of the soup was simply terrific and the pig stomach simply to die for.


I'm so ready for it now!! and this is suppose for 1 person. But we have to shared it!!.. Look at the big pieces of chicken!! so juicy & fresh!! ^^

六叔公鸡仔饼

很久没吃鸡仔饼了。那天去马六甲的时候,看到六叔公有。就买了两包。给老妈尝尝。她曾经也还蛮喜欢吃。

这薄薄脆脆的鸡仔饼的味道,还真让人回味的。

酸甜虾

回家给家人弄了这道酸甜虾。平时都不怎么弄这道菜,还好味道不错。

白粥配腐乳

可能昨天下马六甲的时候,被哪超猛的太阳晒了整个中午。回来后,头昏眼花的。很不舒服。
煮了一锅白粥,配腐乳。真的是没啥力气了。。
